Welcome!

We would like to extend you a warm welcome to The Blackpool Baptist Tabernacle in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our services are simple and centred upon the worship of God. The Bible is taught here as the very Word of God.

We believe that Christianity is the only way of knowing God aright, and living for Him. It is from the Bible alone that we learn the Truth about Christianity.

Therefore the preaching of the Bible - especially the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose again from the dead, and is coming again to judge the world - has an important place in our worship.

We pray that God will speak to you through His word and the Lord Himself will bless you as we gather together in His name.

After Fellowship

Every Sunday morning and evening following the service we meet for tea and coffee and a chat in the Church Entrance Hall or in the Church School Room.

Fellowship Lunch

Every second Sunday in the month we have a simple lunch. Please join us after the morning service as it is a great opportunity to get to know folk and enjoy some fellowship over lunch.

Communion

At the close of the service on the First Sunday Evening and the Third Sunday Morning the Church celebrates the Lord’s supper. This service is open to all who know Jesus Christ as their own Lord and Saviour.

Ladies

Our Ladies Bible study meets every Friday morning at 11am in the Church ( side entrance)

Recording

All the sermons preached at the Tabernacle are recorded, including the midweek Bible studies.

If you would like a copy of any sermon please enquire at the end of the service at the tape desk or contact us via the web site. Sermons are available on CD or tape and a limited number can be downloaded from our web site.

Children and Babies.

Our Sunday School runs at the same time as the morning service for children aged 4 to 11. The children attend the first part of the service before leaving during the third hymn with their teachers to the School Room. Young Children and babies can also be looked after by their parents in the rooms at the back of the church, which are equipped with toys and books. The service is relayed via speakers.

The Lord Jesus Christ said: "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

 John Ch14 vs6

We are at the 'sea front' end of Springfield Road behind the Metropole Hotel.

There is metered parking around the church and we are permitted by the council to use two parking tickets, purchased at the same time and displayed together, in order to cover the two hours on  Sunday mornings.

After 6pm (evening service) the parking is free, but be careful of designated areas which become taxi ranks at specified times. If in doubt please ask!
